About the role
The School of Computer Science at the University of Oklahoma invites the applications for two non-tenure track Research Assistant Professor positions in Omics Data Science and Bioinformatics for Immuno-Engineering. These research-focused faculty positions will support interdisciplinary multi-omics research through collaborative data analysis and methodology development for immuno-engineering applications.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on multi-omics data analysis projects focusing on immuno-engineering applications.
- Develop and apply novel computational methods for analyzing complex biological datasets.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of bioinformatics pipelines for data integration and interpretation.
- Engage in interdisciplinary collaborations with researchers from various departments within the university.
- Present research findings at national and international conferences and publish in high-impact journals.
Requirements
- A PhD in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, or a related field.
- Experience with omics data analysis, including genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics.
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, and/or other relevant languages.
- Background in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data visualization.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Qualifications
- Proven record of academic achievement and publication in peer-reviewed journals.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
