Duties And Responsibilities
- Address critical and emerging issues in the field of ruminant nutrition.
- Develop and establish a competitively funded independent research program.
- Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
- Recruit students for the animal science program.
- Serve on institutional committees.
- Provide services to professional organizations, the University, and the community.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Ruminant Nutrition.
- Must demonstrate competency in using available statistical software.
- Expected research excellence in the area of ruminant nutrition.
- Ability to generate external funding is expected.
- Absolutely essential to effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues in teaching, research, and extension.
- Experience beyond the Ph.D. is desirable.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with travel as required.
- Must be able to work outdoors with variable environmental conditions as required for research.
Physical Requirements
- The individual must be able to walk on uneven ground.
- Navigate in tight space.
- Handle sharp knives and other cutting pieces of equipment.
- Lift about 50 pounds.
