Assistant Professor - Animal Nutrition

About the role

The Long Island University College of Veterinary Medicine (LIU-CVM) in Brookville, New York, invites applications for a full-time, clinical-track or tenure-track faculty position in Animal Nutrition. The position may be filled as Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. Successful candidates will be engaged in the College’s educational, research and service activities.

Responsibilities

• Clinical and didactic teaching in animal nutrition
• Promote LIU-CVM’s mission of enhancing veterinary medical education through teaching, academic excellence, and service to stakeholders
• Curriculum development and creation of innovative learning resources
• Committee service participation (e.g., admissions, curriculum, research)
• For tenure-track faculty: independent or collaborative research in animal nutrition within and outside LIU, potentially including work with affiliate veterinary hospitals

Minimum Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree
• Expertise in animal nutrition
• Specialty board certification or eligibility in animal nutrition is highly desired
• Advanced training in animal nutrition (MS and/or PhD preferred)
• Working knowledge of curricular design and implementation

About the College of Veterinary Medicine at Long Island University
