About the role

The Population Sciences team at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking a Research Assistant I (Per Diem) to support a study. This role involves coordinating study activities across internal and external sites, recruiting and enrolling participants, and providing logistical and administrative support.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in the coordination of project-related activities such as surveys and interviews at internal or external study sites.
  • Contact and recruit research participants.
  • Assist with logistical needs for intervention and evaluation activities, including setting up equipment, arranging food service, and scheduling conference rooms.
  • Coordinate and prepare for project-related meetings as needed, and assist with creating meeting minutes.
  • Maintain databases and project documentation with accuracy, as required.
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of all study materials and data.
  • Coordinate pilot testing of study and surveys as needed.
  • Conduct relevant literature searches and reviews as requested.
  • Aid in the documentation for and communication with the Institutional Review Board (IRB).
  • Perform other project-related or administrative tasks as requested by management.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills, reliability, motivation, and a willingness to learn new tasks.
  • Computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products, are essential.
  • Effective communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • The candidate must be able to work evenings and some weekends.
  • Bilingual language skills may be required, depending on the study population target.

Requirements

  • The position prefers a bachelor’s degree in public health, natural sciences, or social sciences.
  • Prior experience in public health or health policy is strongly preferred.

Schedule

Hybrid: 2-3 days onsite/week
