About the role
Our lab is interested in elucidating the molecular mechanisms of eukaryotic ribosome assembly. We are studying the initial events of this process by using a multidisciplinary approach that combines structural biology (X-ray crystallography and cry-EM) with biochemical, genetic, and cell biology techniques.
Responsibilities
The Research Assistant will be directly supervised by a postdoc and a senior member of the department. Responsibilities will include general laboratory duties such as inventory, organization and pick-up of supplies as well as supporting work for ongoing projects in the laboratory.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in science required; advanced degree and an interest in structural biology or biochemistry strongly preferred.
- Master's degree is preferred.
- Must be highly detail-oriented and focused, inherently motivated, and able to work as part of a team as well as a mentored atmosphere for a research project.
