Company Description The Chair for Distributed Signal Processing at RWTH Aachen University is specializing in cutting-edge augmented reality solutions for 6G wireless communications. We are at the forefront of revolutionizing user experiences through immersive AR applications for the test and measurement industry. We contribute to the future of immersive communication engineering to develop business applications as a part of the ITAR startup team. Job Responsibilities Support the planning and execution of research and innovation proposals, ensuring realistic timelines and achievable technical deliverables. Perform technology and market assessment to identify and evaluate research-to-business opportunities of ongoing projects with a particular target of digital transformation of industries for research commercialization. Define and update the strategy with emerging ICT technologies, digital industry trends, and product-driven industrial advancements to drive innovation. Align project goals and communicate with the innovation team to define business and licensing models while ensuring research-driven innovation. Support the research team with the preparation of industry-targeted research presentations as well as new project funding through national and international funding agencies. Support conceptualization and writing of research grant applications and ensure compliance with research and industry directions. Support and enhance ongoing collaboration with international partners (e.g., NICT in Japan, I2R in Singapore, etc.) to identify and conceptualize international funding applications. Support establishing strategic partnerships. General support to optimize research-to-business processes and participate in trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote research outcomes, and international, and industry partnerships. Requirements Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in business environment, team leadership, and product development in a dynamic business environment or a technology-driven industry.MSc or PhD degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market trends, identify opportunities, and develop actionable business strategies.Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and influence stakeholders at all levels.Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to drive informed decision-making and measure business performance of technology products.Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and a willingness to take calculated risks.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, adapt to changing priorities, and work effectively under pressure.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, JIRA, SAP, and familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.Excellent problem-solving skills, professional development in team management, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.Strong communication skills, international experience, and the ability to effectively convey business concepts.Full proficiency in English (knowledge of other languages is a plus) How to apply?
