RESEARCH ASSISTANT III - JIN LAB - Neuroscience
Responsibilities
- Perform non-routine procedures and resolve complex problems where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of intangible variables.
- Exercise judgement in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Fully competent and proficient in performing complex interpretations and analyses.
- Mastery of specialized lab techniques and evaluation of problems.
- May plan and conduct a project or a large portion of a more diverse project.
- Fully competent and proficient in operating sophisticated scientific lab equipment, having ability to perform complex procedures and techniques with accuracy.
- Facilitate mouse colony management, performing molecular biology and library preparation.
Requirements
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skill and abilities have been attained.
- Requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
- Candidates possessing a master’s degree, 3+ years’ experience required.
Physical Requirements
This position works in a laboratory or vivarium environment. Further details of the physical requirements of established essential functions for this position will be addressed/discussed during the interview process.
Compensation
The expected hiring range for this position is $70,304 - $84,375 per year, commensurate with experience.
