Research Assistant II Non-Lab
About the role
The Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health is seeking a Research Assistant to support the Minding Our Future study and the LIFELONG project. The position is full-time, non-exempt, and benefits eligible. It has a term appointment of October 1, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between study participants and the research team.
- Support participant engagement and ensure they feel welcomed, informed, and motivated.
- Manage daily study operations according to approved research protocols.
- Communicate with residents, address concerns, and provide basic technological assistance.
- Assist participants in completing study questionnaires and collecting physical measurements.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and handle confidential data securely.
- Coordinate logistics for onsite study activities and lead walking groups.
- Document adverse events and assist with data harmonization activities.
- Perform clerical and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant experience, with a bachelor's degree as a minimum requirement.
- Prior experience in human research studies, particularly related to nutrition, physical activity, and mindfulness.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience prioritizing work and working independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience handling complex and confidential information with discretion.
- Experience using a variety of computer software.
Skills
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks.
- Experience working with wearable devices and conducting physical measurements.
- Knowledge of data management and harmonization processes.

Pay and Schedule
This is a part-time benefits-eligible position with a 23-hour work week and a standard schedule of 23 hours per week.
