Travel Congress has an opening for a Research Assistant supporting travel-industry conferences, networking events, attendee support, speakers, sponsors, workshops, communications, and event operations. This is a full-time, 100% remote position open to candidates throughout the United States.
About the role
This role is centered on work where you will collect, evaluate, organize, and summarize research information that supports business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Gather, organize, and summarize research relevant to travel-industry conferences, networking events, attendee support, speakers, sponsors, workshops, communications, and event operations using approved public, internal, customer, or market sources.
- Review source quality, capture relevant facts, and keep notes that distinguish evidence from assumptions.
- Organize findings in spreadsheets, research logs, summaries, or presentation-ready formats across conference and attendee operations.
- Analyze patterns, themes, market information, survey results, or competitor activity as assigned.
- Prepare concise written summaries that explain findings, limitations, and recommended follow-up while supporting conference and attendee operations.
- Maintain source references, research files, and confidential information in an organized manner.
Requirements
- Strong online research, reading comprehension, organization, and written-summary skills.
- Comfort using spreadsheets, search tools, survey data, and shared research documentation.
- Ability to compare sources critically and avoid presenting unsupported conclusions as facts.
- Good numerical and analytical reasoning for interpreting basic trends and survey results.
- Strong attention to detail and consistent citation or source-tracking habits.
- A pre-employment background check is required.
Qualifications
- Entry-level experience.
Pay
$63,500 - $70,000 per year
