Research and Development Intern

Location: Gibbstown, NJ (08027). Schedule to be determined based on mutual availability and company needs.

Salary Range: $18.00 – $21.00 hourly, based on education, experience, and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of senior laboratory staff, compound/blend materials to create formulations.
• Participate in the general upkeep of the QC/R&D laboratory facility.
• Operate laboratory analytical and mixing equipment.
• Perform testing per guidelines.
• Create, maintain, and organize electronic documentation.
• Work safely with hazardous chemicals and waste.
• Complete special assignments and prepare reports/project summaries, as required.

Requirements

• 0-2 years' experience in a laboratory setting.
• Good mathematical skills – unit conversion, ratio, percentage.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as on a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Pursuing a 4-year college degree in a technical field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology).
