About the role

The Quantum Research Department of the Communications, Information and Navigation Office (CINO) at the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State University is searching for an Undergraduate student to join their team. The student will help build a new experiment regarding quantum frequency conversion in heterogeneous quantum networks. This experiment requires pressurized hydrogen gas and as such, they seek an individual who is comfortable with hands-on work. The student will follow the piping schematic and assemble portions of the experiments. The end goal of this project is to connect to their already-existing entangled photon optical experiment and perform quantum frequency conversion.
