Responsibilities
- Develop customizable automation tools & architecture for paint robotics
- Design, code, test, document & maintain paint application automation tools and software
- Develop & conduct test plans for paint application automation tools
- Evaluate process & robot application performance
- Consult & support paint segment, customers, and integrators on paint application products
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Robotic, or Electronics Engineering, or closely-related field
- 2 yrs experience developing and integrating software for embedded control system using C and C++ in Visual Studio environment
- Designing & implementing test automation solutions using Python, Matlab and/or Karel
- Drafting functional specifications, architecture & test plans to evaluate system performance and enhance controller development
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot real-time hardware & simulation discrepancies, ensuring alignment between simulated and actual performance metrics
- Performing off-line programming for robotics systems & 3D simulation
- Delivering products & test results through integrated development workflows using Git, Gitlab, and/or ClearCase
- Creating controller manuals & technical documentation
Qualifications
Up to 5% U.S. and/or int’l travel req’d.
Skills
- Experience with C and C++ in Visual Studio environment
- Knowledge of Python, Matlab, and/or Karel for test automation
- Ability to draft functional specifications, architecture & test plans
- Experience with Git, Gitlab, and/or ClearCase for integrated development workflows
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
