- Data center power and cooling architectures
- System design, density, and scalability
- Interactions with the grid and energy ecosystem
- Assess technical implications, constraints, and trade-offs of new solutions on infrastructure design and operations.
- Leverage Real-World Engineering Expertise
- Produce High-Value Thought Leadership
- Contribute to and progressively lead creation of
- White papers and technical reports
- Infrastructure design guidance and reference architectures
- Articles and insights on technology adoption and impact
- Ensure technical rigor and clarity through peer reviews and validation with subject matter experts.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of data center physical infrastructure, including:
- Electrical systems (UPS, MV/LV distribution, grid interaction)
- Mechanical systems (air and liquid cooling, heat reuse)
- Architecture principles (resiliency, efficiency, scalability)
- Data center management software and digital twins
- Ability to understand and explain system-level impacts of technology changes.
- Systems Thinking
- Capability to analyze interdependencies between infrastructure, IT loads, and the energy ecosystem.
- Comfort working on cross-domain topics (power, cooling, IT, digital).
- Strong analytical & research skills
- Ability to structure complex technical topics into clear insights and actionable conclusions.
- Strong critical thinking applied to engineering and system design challenges.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to translate deep technical concepts into clear, accessible content.
