About the role

This role is built for a hunter who thrives on outbound prospecting, closing deals, and driving revenue across industrial, academic, government, pharmaceutical, and biotech customers. You’ll position a broad product portfolio, uncover opportunities, and convert them into long-term, profitable relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed aggressive monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Possess a strong hunter mentality with the ability to prospect, develop, and close new business opportunities.
  • Understand and execute the complete territory management process, including identifying gap opportunities and developing strategies to win back business.
  • Grow existing accounts by identifying new opportunities and expanding share of wallet.
  • Build relationships with decision-makers across Purchasing, Engineering, Laboratory, Maintenance, and Quality departments.
  • Identify and qualify new opportunities to expand business and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Manage the full sales cycle including investigation, qualification, proposal/quote development, follow-up, and closing activities.
  • Execute pricing and quoting strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, activity, and performance tracking within CRM systems.
  • Stay current on market trends, competitive activity, and product knowledge.
  • Effectively communicate Cole-Parmer’s value proposition to customers and prospects.
  • Support a One-Antylia culture through collaboration and partnership across the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of inside sales, technical sales, or territory management experience with a proven track record of exceeding quota.
  • Strong hunter mentality with the ability to prospect, develop, and close new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Business and technical acumen to understand customer needs and position effective solutions.
  • Results-oriented and self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build long-term business relationships.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, efficiently works under pressures, within deadlines or other time essential constraints.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to clearly and concisely communicate to all levels of the organization.
  • Strong work ethic and an ability to excel within a rapidly changing and growing organization.
  • Ability to travel for training and team meetings up to 10%.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a science related field from an accredited higher learning institution strongly preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
