Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain temperature-controlled storage systems, ensuring inventory organization, and wearing proper PPE while obtaining biomaterials from repository freezers.
- Processing incoming shipments, stock replenishment, and inventory management.
- Preparing samples for shipment following standard operating procedures.
- Maintaining biological materials in a proper cold chain environment (196°C (-321°F) to 29°C (85°F) degrees) through the monitoring of storage systems, freezers, and tanks.
- Performing functions according to standard operating procedures, conducting systematic data entry, and maintaining good documentation practices (GDP) and cGMP standards.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent with 2-5 years of relevant experience in warehouse, shipping/handling, or inventory.
- Data entry experience preferred.
- Attention to detail for batch number and item number differentiation and counting.
- Willingness and ability to learn inventory management systems.
- Ability to learn and follow quality control/assurance procedures.
- Effective communication in English (both verbal and written), strong organizational skills.
- Eligibility to obtain an NIH Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Card by submitting a Declaration of Federal Employment form within 60 days of employment.

Pay
The expected salary range for this position is $40,000 to $50,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
