About the role

The Reporting & Analytics Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting the organization’s data-driven decision-making processes. This position is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on a wide variety of data to help drive business insights and optimize performance across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in shaping and executing data strategies to inform business decisions.
  • Design, write, and optimize complex SQL queries to extract and analyze data from various sources.
  • Document, evaluate, and improve the design of reports and processes to ensure analytical tools evolve as the business changes.
  • Develop trend analyses and other quantitative reports to determine business trends.
  • Partner with leaders to further analyze data and develop recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain capacity planning models in partnership with each business unit. Adjust models based on business needs and provide recommendations and solutions (e.g., load balancing) to drive business performance.
  • Develop advanced dashboards, reports, and data models to track key metrics and provide actionable insights.
  • Perform maintenance on existing schedules and reports for changes to information.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between assigned business units and the Enterprise Data Warehouse team for new development requests and complex data solutions.
  • Lead the identification of reporting requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to develop solutions that align with strategic business goals.
  • Support system changes and analysis while executing User Acceptance Testing plans to ensure overall risk management.
  • Define and document data definitions, report logic, and data sources using standard industry methodology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5-6 years of business analytic experience, including advanced data mining tools.
  • Strong analytic, technical, and statistical skills with proven ability to process vast amounts of data into meaningful information and interpret statistical trends.
  • In-depth understanding of product features, benefits, pricing, and positioning preferred.
  • Ability to design and deliver reporting to meet various business needs and management requirements.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), Azure DevOps, Git, Power BI, Tableau, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of database concepts and data warehousing principles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with leadership and internal business partners.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer aptitude and proficiency in SQL and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft certifications or other relevant data analytics certifications.
  • Experience with other programming languages (e.g., Python).
  • Experience in the financial services industry.

  • Provide support and guidance to other team members and mentor junior data analysts to ensure successful project delivery.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of desk work.
  • Frequent use of computer, keyboard, phone, and office equipment.
  • Clear and effective communication in person and over the phone.
  • Occasional movement within the office or to other locations within the building.
  • Occasionally lifting and carrying light objects, typically up to 10-15 pounds.

$74,000/year to $100,000/year
