About the role

The immediate vacancy is with the Department of Accounting & General Services. The position involves receiving and coordinating requests for the repair and maintenance of schools and other public buildings, conducting informal bid purchasing for supplies, materials, and services required in repairs and maintenance, maintaining pertinent operating and fiscal data, and performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Legal Authorization To Work: Must be a citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
• Education: Graduation from high school.
• General Experience: Two (2) years of general work experience which required the keeping of written records.
• Specialized Experience: Three (3) years of progressively responsible work experience in one or a combination of the following areas:
  • Scheduling building construction or maintenance work.
  • Purchasing building construction or maintenance materials or services.
  • Selling building construction or maintenance materials or services.
  • Estimating labor and material costs of construction or maintenance materials or services.

Qualifications

• Supervisory Aptitude: Demonstrated aptitude or potential for the performance of supervisory duties.
• Driver's License: Valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
