Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Uses hand and power tools and paint spray equipment according to company procedures and manufacturer’s guidelines.
- Performs sundry duties related to pipeline and station operations and maintenance as assigned by supervision.
- Maintains and repairs the pipeline right-of-way.
- Paints piping, equipment and facilities.
- Installs and maintains pipeline markers.
- Communicates with supervision and other personnel in job-related situations and matters.
- Completes certain routine administrative duties such as Reports of Time Worked, Expense Accounts, Mileage Reports, and Accident Reports.
- Maintains good housekeeping practices.
- Must be willing to work overtime and callouts.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent.
- Current driver’s license.
- Lives within 50 miles of the reporting location.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong mechanical background.
- Working knowledge of engines, electric motors, compressors, valves and pipeline equipment.
- Ability to read and understand piping schematics, drawings and operating procedures.
Education And/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.
Working Conditions
- Driving, walking, and standing frequently.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery.
- Subject to call-out during off-duty hours, including the weekend.
- On the project crew and requires up to 75% travel.
