About the role

This onsite position is located at US-GA-MIDLAND-MPC, 8801/8987 Macon Rd, BLDG MPC. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Work as a team member responsible for turbine engine, engine module, or component maintenance in accordance with published work instructions and approved technical data.
• Utilize common hand tools, tooling, and fixtures to perform repair functions on jet engines.
• Ensure all phases of assembly/disassembly comply with work instructions and required self-inspection or peer inspection of critical processes to adhere to quality standards.
• Monitor and ensure processes meet Safety, Quality, and Delivery objectives.
• Specialize in machining aircraft parts to exact specifications, ensuring precision, quality, and safety using advanced CNC equipment.
• Set up and operate CNC equipment, such as vertical and horizontal milling machines, to achieve precise machining results.
• Perform detailed measurements and inspections using calibrated tools and precision instruments.
• Monitor and adjust machining processes for optimal performance.
• Collaborate with team members to address technical challenges and maintain efficient production workflows.
• Perform turbine engine component repair, including drilling, fastener removal, blending, installation of inserts, and silicon repairs.
• Follow work instructions and demonstrate commitment to Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) and continuous improvement programs.

Qualifications

You Must Have

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3+ years’ experience in an aviation mechanic role, aviation field experience, or appropriate technical training (ASE certification or military equivalent).
• Basic understanding of DAT – Disassembly, Assembly, Test.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

We Prefer

• A&P License.
• Ability to utilize precision measuring instruments (Vernier calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Previous work experience in jet engine overhaul.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
