Specific Job Responsibilities
- Repair electric and gas drive welding equipment.
- Work with electrical voltages up to 440 volt ac and 900 volts dc.
- Test and ensure welding equipment is operating as it should and is in safe working order.
- Attend service training certification schools as required to stay up to date on warranty and latest technologies.
- Diagnose, service and repair electrical, mechanical, and engine driven equipment including MIG, TIG, STICK and PLASMA CUTTERS.
- Test equipment after repairs are made to ensure proper and safe operation.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education equivalent to a one year Technical College or equivalent.
- 1-3+ years of related electrical and mechanical experience.
- Working knowledge of positioning equipment, welding application and equipment is an asset.
- Strong electrical and mechanical background preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods of time, and work in a shop environment.
- No welding skills required.
