About the role

The Repair & Shop Supervisor serves as an ambassador for the company and is responsible for maintaining the flow and objectives of the service department. This role involves answering service calls and emails, scheduling repair work, and collaborating with coordinators and the Shop Manager to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to repair schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Answer customer calls and emails.
  • Resolve customer issues and inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Create estimates for equipment repairs.
  • Order repair materials as required based on the scope and needs of each job.
  • Follow up on repair part orders to ensure timely service to customers.
  • Follow up with Sales on customer approvals for needed repairs.
  • Supervise a group of shop employees and oversee their day-to-day activities to ensure efficient repair operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • 2+ years in a mechanical environment.

Skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service and consultative skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude with a desire to grow an existing sales and service business.
  • Technical/mechanical background is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to clearly communicate with customers.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or related software.

Work Environment

This job operates primarily in an office environment on the company site, with some interaction in a warehouse/shipping environment.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The role also requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Schedule

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with hours as needed.
