Repair Process Engineer, EHRO (Onsite)
What You Will Do
Pratt & Whitney’s repair station (EHRO – East Hartford Repair Operations) has a unique opportunity for a Repair Process Engineer on the development engineering team. This is a fast-paced technical position requiring project management and technical skills to complete long-term projects along with everyday shop floor support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day manufacturing operations, troubleshooting process issues as they come up.
- Develop, refine, and document processes to improve quality, repeatability, and throughput.
- Work closely with inspectors, operators, quality engineers, and other cross-functional partners to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement.
- Collect and analyze data to understand trends and recommend changes.
- Participate in root-cause investigations and help implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support new product introductions and process changes, ensuring smooth integration into production.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Advanced Degree and 6+ months of experience in Engineering, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Military, Aftermarket or Aviation industry; OR Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate's degree and 4+ years of relevant industry experience.
- 1+ years’ experience within a manufacturing environment is required.
Qualifications We Prefer
- University degree ideally in Engineering. Mechanical or Quality Engineering preferred.
- Familiarity of aerospace gas turbine engines, engine overhaul and part repair processes.
- Knowledge of FAA Part 145, EASA, AS9110, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage quality clinics or other projects effectively.
- Root Cause and Corrective Action experience (QCPC, RCCA Red-X, Fault Tree, etc.).
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies (CORE/ACE/SixSigma, etc.), and basic statistical tools.
- Proficiency in MS Office, SAP ERP, Solumina MES, NX, AutoCAD, and Teamcenter.
- Comfortable working on the shop floor and collaborating with a wide range of people.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to break down complex issues.

Pay Range
The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
