About the role

The Greater Cleveland Food Bank is the largest hunger relief organization in Northeast Ohio, providing over 55 million meals in 2017 to people in need across Cuyahoga, Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake, Ashland, and Richland counties. Our mission is to ensure everyone in our communities has access to nutritious food every day through food distribution and SNAP outreach efforts.

Responsibilities

• Sorting through and repackaging incoming nonperishable, perishable, and non-food donations
• Packing shelf-stable emergency food boxes
• Assembling Commodity Supplemental Food Program boxes
• Assembling Backpacks for Kids kits

Volunteers should be prepared to assist with any duty during their shift.

Schedule

• Monday - Thursday: 9am–12pm, 1–4pm, 5–8pm
• Friday and Saturday: 9am–12pm

Available shifts:

• 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM EST
• 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM EST
• 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM EST
• 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM EST
