The Rental Sales Team Member is responsible for all aspects of rentals including strollers, ECVs, wheelchairs, lockers, and more. This role focuses on safety, friendliness, cleanliness, and line speed within assigned areas to support the Merchandise division. The ideal candidate will display and live out "Lead with Love" qualities—patience, kindness, trust, unselfishness, truthfulness, forgiveness, dedication, and accountability—rooted in the Dollywood Company culture.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and initiate friendly interaction.
  • Provide guest excellence that exceeds expectations, answer questions, and provide park information.
  • Effectively perform rental sales of ECVs, wheelchairs, strollers, and lockers, including all sales functions, rental agreements, refunds, and exchanges.
  • Retrieve daily online sales reports and reserve rental equipment.
  • Verbally instruct guests on ECV operational instructions.
  • Assist in the daily operation of morning set-up, including pulling rental equipment for display, preparing clipboards with rental agreements, and having disability guides on hand.
  • Effectively perform cash handling procedures for daily locker rentals and key deposits.
  • Assist in the evening maintenance of rental equipment, including cleaning and stacking strollers.
  • Maintain a sense of urgency to reduce guest wait time.
  • Maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Attend all required training and meetings.
  • Complete required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Follow all safety standards, including reporting any violations.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Must know safety-critical standards.
  • Ability to use basic math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Must be able to operate a cash register, phone equipment, credit card machine, receipt printer, and calculator.
  • Must be able to pass a basic math test.
  • Must successfully complete a post-employment offer background check and drug screen.
  • Excellent verbal communicator—accurate, consistent, and detailed.

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions

  • Lifting and Carrying: Occasional to frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs utilizing company’s safety guidelines for safe lifting.
  • Mobility: Intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing, and/or walking for the duration of the shift, up to 13 hours.
  • Repetitive Movements: Performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift, including repeated use of hands, arms, or other body parts.
  • Environmental Conditions: Ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat.
  • Cognitive and Sensory Requirements: Strong cognitive skills, including critical thinking, problem-solving, processing and retaining information, attention to detail, and effective communication using approved methods.
