Rental Yard Specialist

About the role

This position receives new equipment and equipment returning from rental, assists with loading and unloading, cleans equipment, and maintains a clean and organized yard.

Responsibilities

• Receive new equipment, verifying make, model, and serial number
• Receive rental return equipment by fueling, noting hours and condition
• Stage equipment for delivery
• Assist drivers with loading and unloading equipment
• Greet customers and ensure excellent customer experience
• Prepare and place logos on equipment as directed
• Periodically check and crank equipment to maintain battery charge and oil circulation
• Perform minor maintenance services and grease equipment when directed
• Ensure the yard is safe, organized, clean, and meets company standards
• Follow all established safety policies and procedures
• Perform general physical activities including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling equipment
• Safely control equipment on the yard
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager

Requirements

• Organizing ability
• Ability to listen to directions and follow instructions
• Trained in all required safety procedures with associated certifications
• Sense of urgency with a desire to serve
• Ability to promote the company’s Vision, Mission, and Values

Physical Requirements

• Physical stamina and strength to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat
