About the role

The Rental Sales Representative at Ryder is responsible for handling sales and marketing tasks, maximizing rate opportunities, and building strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Handle sales and sales process for inbound calls as well as outbound solicitation
  • Execute the business unit's marketing plan
  • Maintain current accurate data within the company's marketing database
  • Generate rental, lease, and used vehicle sales leads
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing customer base
  • Coordinate overall inventory levels to meet customer demand
  • Maximize operational effectiveness
  • Work cross-functionally across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Asset Management
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers
  • Manage customer concerns and disputes
  • Perform as an On-Call Representative on a voluntary basis

Requirements

  • H.S. diploma/GED required
  • One (1) year or more sales experience required
  • DOT Regulated: No

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Goal-oriented, drive for results, assertive, and able to handle ambiguity
  • High level of energy and self-motivation
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions
  • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer service skills

  • Initiative and ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization

Hourly pay range: $21.00 - $21.00

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
