About the role

At Ryder, you'll be part of a dynamic team working in the essential industry since 1933. This role involves handling sales and marketing tasks, maximizing rate opportunities, and building relationships with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Handle sales and sales process for inbound calls and outbound solicitation
  • Execute the business unit's marketing plan
  • Maintain current and accurate data within the company's marketing database
  • Generate rental, lease, and used vehicle sales leads
  • Expand and maintain relationships with existing customer base
  • Coordinate overall inventory levels to meet customer demand
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by coordinating with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales, and Marketing
  • Manage and reconcile customer concerns and disputes
  • Drive profitable revenue growth by maintaining and growing customer relationships
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers
  • Perform on-call responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

  • H.S. diploma/GED required
  • One (1) year or more sales experience required

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Goal-oriented, drive for results, assertive, and able to handle ambiguity
  • High degree of initiative
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions
  • Flexibility to operate and driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer service skills

Compensation
