About the role
The Rental Sales Representative acts as the front-line sales agent for renting vehicles to the Company's current lease and commercial rental accounts, as well as potential commercial rental customers and consumer household needs. This role works cross-functionally across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Asset Management, utilizing excellent customer communication skills. The program is fast-paced and touches every aspect of the business unit, allowing you to develop industry knowledge, skills, and resources to build relationships. We promote from within based on performance, offering structured work weeks, rotational Saturdays (depending on branch location/hours), and competitive pay plus overtime.
Responsibilities
- Handle sales and sales processes for inbound calls as well as outbound solicitation.
- Execute the business unit's marketing plan and maintain accurate data within the company's marketing database.
- Maximize rate opportunities within the marketplace and generate rental, lease, and used vehicle sales leads.
- Maintain and expand relationships with existing customer base while maximizing operational effectiveness by coordinating inventory levels to meet customer demand.
- Meet overall Ryder market share by successfully executing sales and marketing initiatives.
- Ensure the overall profitability, operations, and asset management of a rental location.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales, and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Drive profitable revenue growth by maintaining and growing customer relationships and ensuring overall satisfaction for all internal and external customers.
- Reconcile customer concerns, issues, and disputes to maintain ongoing relationships.
- Build constructive and effective relationships with both internal and external customers, maintaining composure in stressful situations.
- Clearly articulate Ryder's product and service offerings.
- Perform the role of On-Call Representative based on work schedules as determined by Supervisor (voluntary or as required).
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- One (1) year or more of sales experience required.
- DOT Regulated: No.

Pay
Hourly pay range: $21.00 – $22.00. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on level and/or type.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 1st Shift (Hourly, paid weekly). Rotational Saturdays depending on branch location/hours.
