About the role
The Rental Sales Rep will play a crucial role in increasing profitable rental revenue by engaging in cold-calling, lead generation, and relationship building with both new and existing customers. This position requires collaboration with rental coordinators and Carolina CAT sales reps to deliver comprehensive solutions tailored to customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Increasing profitable rental revenue through cold-calling and lead generation
- Working closely with rental coordinators and Carolina CAT sales reps to develop and deliver solutions for customers
- Developing and maintaining valuable relationships with customers to boost rental revenue and market share
- Managing CAT generated rental leads and using the rental store portal
- Following up on lost and inactive accounts
- Focusing on slow rent equipment
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A minimum of one year of outside sales experience, preferably in construction equipment or related fields
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong planning, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
- Solid interpersonal skills
- Independent and team-player with strong organizational skills
- Experience with CRM systems and Dodge Pipeline Mastery
- Knowledge of equipment and computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Workplace Requirements
- Regularly standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and using hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Frequent sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and otherwise moving up to 25 pounds
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and equipment, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, vibration, noise, and potentially hazardous materials
