Rental Freight Driver

About the role

Lonestar Forklift is a customer-focused material handling equipment dealership with over 30 years of proven success and 10 branch locations in Texas. We offer new equipment, used equipment, rentals, service, parts, fleet management, and training for our customers, providing comprehensive and tailored solutions for unique business needs.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound requests from the Freight Coordinator
• Manage documentation relating to equipment transport
• Load and unload equipment onto the transport truck/trailer
• Transport equipment to and from various destinations
• Relay relevant customer feedback to appropriate internal stakeholders
• Ensure that all registrations, insurance, CIVs are current

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Class A or Class B license and a clean driving history (motor vehicle record check required for employment)
• Minimum of three years driving experience
• Prior experience in the material handling equipment industry is a strong asset, but not required

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to manage conflicting priorities
• Able to work effectively with minimal supervision
• A self-starter and a team player
