Rental Field Service Technician - Greater Baton Rouge Area
About the role
We are hiring a Field Service Technician to support the maintenance and repair of our rental fleet and customers in the Greater Baton Rouge area. This is a hands-on role with a mix of shop work and field service. If you are a technician who takes pride in doing things right the first time and enjoys keeping equipment running strong, you'll fit right in.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, boom lifts, and other warehouse vehicles
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, LP/diesel engine, and electrical system issues
- Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters and hydraulic gauges to pinpoint and fix problems
- Perform preventative maintenance to keep customer equipment running smoothly
- Participate in manufacturer-certified training to stay up to date on equipment and repair techniques
- Inspect and maintain your service vehicle, tools, and inventory for safety and readiness
- Support and mentor junior techs when needed
Requirements
We’re looking for someone with prior experience in forklift, heavy equipment, diesel, or automotive repair, a strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems, familiarity with diagnostic software and tools, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally and meet the physical demands of the job. A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is also required.
