About the Role
The Rental Field Service Aerial Technician works with direct supervision in diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment at the customer’s site in a manner that reflects the company’s vision of working as “One Professional Team.”
Pay
$25.18 - $29.14 per hour. Pay rate is dependent on education and experience.
Responsibilities
- Removes, repairs, and installs major components in varying configurations of equipment
- Communicates with customers on the diagnosis and status of repairs, parts, and other concerns
- Accurately troubleshoots and repairs CAT equipment the first time
- Reads, understands, and applies electrical and hydraulic schematics to repair work
- Makes determinations in the field on warranty repair and guidelines, communicating decisions to customer and dispatcher
- Works with the Service Department, Product Support Representatives, and Sales Department to meet all of the customer’s needs
- Maintains truck and crane inspection logs, and CAT Service reports on a daily basis
- Maintains tooling in good working order as per MSHA and OSHA regulations
- Maintains service vehicle in safe and good repair
- Teaches and coaches other technicians in the field
- Promotes Wagner Equipment Co. to customers
- Other duties as assigned by manager
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Relevant CAT related courses
- 1 year experience servicing heavy equipment
- 1+ years administrative/clerical experience
- 2+ years customer service experience
- 1+ years in servicing Aerial equipment
- Class D Driver’s License
- Must be at least 21 years old
