Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections on heavy construction rental equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and complete necessary repairs or adjustments in a timely manner.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime and extend service life.
- Inspect, service, and prepare equipment for rental, ensuring all units meet safety and operational standards.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all inspections, maintenance, and repairs performed.
- Prioritize and manage equipment breakdowns to ensure timely resolution and minimal impact on operations.
- Cook up with rental staff to ensure equipment is properly staged, prepared, and ready for customer use.
- Order, track, and manage parts and supplies to support efficient maintenance and repair operations.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and service requests as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience working with heavy construction equipment or in a rental environment.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, diesel engines, and electrical systems.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues.
- Experience working on equipment such as excavators, loaders, skid steers, or similar machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform physically demanding work.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High School diploma or GED required.
