About the role
Responsible for achieving annual sales and profitability targets via sales penetration in the assigned territory. Continues project management and coordination between internal and external customers. Requires operation of a personal vehicle for more than 20% of the average work week; an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report is required if selected.
Responsibilities
- Drive business growth within territory with existing and incremental customers
- Establish and expand relationships with owners and contractors
- Serve as central point of contact for all territory renovation projects, including project management, due diligence, product sourcing, selection, and RFP/quoting
- Partner with credit to identify funding and ownership
Nature and Scope
- Identify key barriers/core problems and apply problem-solving skills to creatively address complex situations
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems; make decisions under uncertainty with incomplete information
- Independently perform assignments with instruction limited to expected results; determine and develop approaches to solutions
- Receive technical guidance only on unusual or complex problems
- May oversee completion of projects and assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring progress, evaluating results
- Contribute to employees’ professional development but do not have hiring or firing authority
Work Environment
- Comfortable environment with regular exposure to factors that may cause discomfort or moderate risk, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes
- Requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion: walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, maneuvering heavy or awkward materials (50+ pounds)
- Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time
Requirements
- BS/BA in a related discipline and generally 5–8 years of experience in a related field, OR MS/MA and generally 3–5 years of experience in a related field
- Certification may be required in some areas
