About the role
Husch Blackwell LLP is a national law firm with multiple locations across the United States, dedicated to our clients and the industries they serve. We have an immediate opening for a Renewable Energy Tax Credit Associate with four to six years of experience preferred. We will consider candidates for any of our offices including our virtual office, The Link. The candidate will work primarily with attorneys in our Energy & Natural Resources business unit.
Responsibilities
- Advising developers on renewable energy tax credits and real estate incentives
- Drafting and negotiating tax credit transfer agreements
- Handling financings and M&A pertaining to the renewable energy sector
Qualifications
- Four to six years of experience preferred
- Active bar license in the state corresponding with the office to which you are applying or commitment to obtain one as soon as possible
- Excellent academic credentials
- Commitment to the community
- Superior interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated record of working well under pressure
- Exceptional judgment
- Ability to effectively handle multiple projects
- Ability to articulate legal strategies and courses of action
Skills
- Experience with renewable energy tax credits and real estate incentives
Pay
- Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, and Washington: $230,000-$260,000
- California, New York, and Washington, D.C.: $240,000-$265,000
- Minnesota and Vermont: $215,000-$246,000
- Salaries in all other markets will vary depending on market data
- Associates are eligible for an Associate Performance Bonus and Client Development Bonus
