Renewable Energy Engine Plant Technician

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly evaluate operational data to plan and manage production capacity.
  • Be responsible for safety and environmental compliance inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with air permit requirements, including CYCLE task tracking and emissions testing.
  • Manage third-party vendors for plant maintenance and compliance issues.
  • Communicate with power/gas purchasers and represent WMRE during inspections.
  • Inspect, maintain, and service plant machinery and equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Implement and enforce safety policies and practices.
  • Procure plant supplies and manage vendor relationships.
  • Respond promptly to plant shutdowns during non-business hours.
  • Assign backup staff and adjust on-site presence for call-outs.
  • Maintain facility spare inventory and conduct inventory counts.
  • Schedule and conduct plant tours for community relations.
  • Represent WMRE as a technical expert on renewable energy production.
  • Participate in public forums and develop ongoing public relations.
  • Supervise special assignments and tasks as required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited)
  • 5 years of relevant work experience diagnosing and repairing internal combustion engines and cooling systems
  • Valid drivers license
  • Fundamental knowledge of computer data entry and interpretation
  • Ability to manage fiduciary responsibilities
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 100 lbs
  • Basic knowledge of electrical circuits (DC, 120/240/480 3ph AC, 4160 volt)
  • Familiarity with building maintenance principles
