Removal Technician Part-Time

About the role

This is a part-time, non-exempt position responsible for the care, removal, and transport of human remains in accordance with all state, local, and company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Care for deceased in a respectful manner.
• Adhere to all professional, municipal, state/provincial, and federal licensing and/or authority regulations.
• Maintain a log of all deceased in care and those transferred from care.
• Promote a safe work environment by practicing universal precautions and safe conduct principles.
• Perform removals of deceased from hospitals, nursing homes, residences, or prep/embalming facilities to transport to mortuary or funeral home.
• Maintain and clean removal vehicle, ensuring it is properly stocked with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of six (6) months’ work experience.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of computers and software (or willingness to learn).
• Above-average communication skills.
• High level of compassion and integrity.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to multitask.
• Detail-oriented, professional, and team player.
