Remote Volunteer Test Automation Engineer — iLevelUP EdTech

Responsibilities

• Implement automated functional, regression, API, and integration tests
• Translate test cases and acceptance criteria into reliable automation
• Create reusable fixtures, utilities, mocks, and test data
• Run tests locally and in CI/CD pipelines
• Investigate failures, document defects, and verify fixes
• Reduce flaky tests and improve coverage, speed, and maintainability
• Review automation code and contribute to team standards
• Document setup, execution, troubleshooting, and results

Qualifications

• Experience with software development or test automation
• Familiarity with tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Appium, Postman, pytest, Jest, or comparable frameworks
• Working knowledge of Git, APIs, browsers, debugging, and continuous integration
• Ability to write clear, maintainable code and defect reports
• Reliable remote communication and follow-through
• Accessibility, mobile, performance, or security-testing experience is helpful
