About the role
Create useful, engaging digital stories that help Believe in Me and iLevelUP connect students, families, volunteers, donors, educators, and community partners with opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Follow editorial briefs, brand standards, safeguarding practices, and content calendars.
- Research topics using credible sources and verify facts before publication.
- Use descriptive headlines, structured sections, captions, alt-text guidance, and inclusive language.
- Collaborate remotely with content strategy, marketing, design, video, and program volunteers.
- Review performance data and improve future content.
Requirements
Writing, copywriting, journalism, social media, video scripting, graphic content, education, or nonprofit communications experience is ideal. Familiarity with Canva, WordPress, content-management tools, SEO, accessibility, or analytics is helpful. Students, career changers, and experienced professionals are welcome when they can provide relevant samples.
Qualifications
Remote, flexible, and approximately 2–3 hours per week. Ongoing participation is preferred, with individual assignments scoped to volunteer availability.
