About the role
This position serves as a remote travel coordinator for a leading company in Detroit, Michigan. The role involves managing travel arrangements for employees, ensuring compliance with company policies, and providing support during business trips.Responsibilities
- Manage travel bookings for employees, including flights, hotels, and ground transportation.
- Ensure all travel requests are compliant with company policies and legal requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to secure the best rates and services for travel needs.
- Prepare and maintain travel documentation, such as itineraries and expense reports.
- Handle emergency situations related to travel, such as cancellations or changes in plans.
- Provide administrative support to the travel department and other departments as needed.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in a customer service or administrative role.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience with travel management software is a plus.
