REMOTE TAX ATTORNEY

About the role

We are looking for a lawyer who advises business owners on proactive tax strategy, not one who handles tax controversy or compliance after the fact.

Responsibilities

• Research tax issues and ensure clients are tax compliant
• Advise and consult on taxation issues
• Work closely with clients to prepare for various tax related issues and future planning as it applies to both their business and personal lives
• Strategize to reduce tax obligations
• Review proposed legislation that would affect your clients' taxes
• Stay current on all relevant tax laws
• Prepare, or at least competently review, your clients' business and personal tax returns

Requirements

• A licensed attorney with 5 to 8 years of focused experience in tax strategy
• A natural relationship builder who genuinely enjoys working with business owners
• Ability to take complex tax concepts and explain them in plain language
• CPA or strong accounting background preferred

Pay

This role has a yearly earning potential of $275,000, based on a book of 65 clients. Each client relationship begins with a 2 to 3 hour onboarding meeting, followed by one hour per month, for an expected 12 hours per year per client.
