REMOTE Sr. Foreclosure Specialist (7:00 A.M or 7:30 A.M to 4:00 P.M PST)

About the role

The Sr. Foreclosure Specialist will monitor vendor activities during the processing of eligible foreclosure referrals and loans, ensuring accurate and timely handling according to state requirements. They will collaborate with support groups, communicate with clients and investors, and manage attorney/trustee interactions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and reviews foreclosure tracking templates daily.
• Communicates effectively with team, default support groups, clients, and investors during foreclosure proceedings.
• Manages outstanding or upcoming events/tasks, ensuring timely completion and accuracy of dates.
• Utilizes tools to manage pipeline, system of record, vendor tracking software, and control reporting.
• Ensures timely and accurate figures, information, documents, or instructions are provided to assigned attorney/trustee/vendor.
• Maintains system of record and vendor tracking software for proper notification/reporting to investors, clients, borrowers, state, or federal/government agencies.
• Imaging and maintaining foreclosure procedural documents timely.
• Identifies and analyzes exception cases, including lien threats, and develops action plans.
• Notifies manager and investor/insurer as required.
• Remediates and resolves complex/escalated matters with management guidance.
• Assists with new hire training and workflow-based presentations/projects.
• Verifies taxes and insurance are maintained and paid timely.
• Documents all servicing activities, action taken, delays, follow-up, and phone conversations.
• Maintains vendor performance and notifies relevant parties of issues.
• Transfers files for conveyance/claim filing and/or REO within 24 hours after sale completion.
• Follows up on sale proceeds within judicial or non-judicial proceedings.
• Compiles, maintains, and ensures proper system coding for accurate IRS 1099A/1099C filings.
• Processes funds within SLAs and ensures timely and accurate instructions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience; some college preferred.
• Three (3) years of Foreclosure experience or a combination of three (3) years’ banking, mortgage, foreclosure experience.
• Notary Public or prior Paralegal experience preferred.
• Self-motivated, able to work with little to no supervision.
• Able to understand and integrate different viewpoints on complex issues.
• Able to make significant decisions impacting immediate work unit.
• Able to organize and prioritize work on short-term basis.
• Able to perform basic math operations and record, balance, and check results for accuracy.
• Able to compose detailed reports, manuals, and publications.
• Able to handle multiple tasks under pressure and changing priorities.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and quality of loan evaluation.
• Understanding of the foreclosure process and differences between Judicial and Non-Judicial proceedings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Foreclosure experience or a combination of banking, mortgage, and foreclosure experience.
• Notary Public or Paralegal experience preferred.

Pay

$24.00 to $27.00 per hour.

Schedule

Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. PST.
