Remote Sr. Data Analyst IV

Max pay rate: $65/hr. Position is fully remote; candidates in Cedar Rapids, IA may optionally work from the office.

About the role

The Data Analyst supports enterprise reporting and analytics initiatives by transforming business requirements into data-driven solutions. The analyst performs data analysis, validation, testing, and requirements gathering activities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather, document, and validate reporting and analytical requirements
• Translate business needs into technical data requirements and support solution design activities
• Analyze and profile data to identify quality issues, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement
• Develop and execute data validation and testing procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of reporting solutions
• Perform data mapping, lineage analysis, and relationship modeling across multiple data sources
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) activities, including issue tracking, investigation, and resolution coordination

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related field
• Experience working with relational databases and data warehousing concepts
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting
• Experience with Amazon Redshift or similar cloud-based data platforms
• Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence and visualization tools
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience supporting testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and data quality initiatives (preferred)
