Remote Special Process Auditor
Job Summary
This remote position is responsible for supporting the Nadcap certification compliance program at global locations as applicable. The position requires a wide breadth of special process/Nadcap experience across programs to work with our sites and customers in helping to determine appropriate NDT and special processes requirements and processes.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Develop strategies for successful planning and execution of the Nadcap audits, with emphasis on site compliance.
- Provide support in maintaining the Nadcap certification process for all locations.
- Ensure compliance with all industry and customer requirements at sites.
- Provide SME Leadership to the Special Process Network audit process to ensure schedule compliance, auditor qualification, process improvement, and corrective action.
- Participating in customer quality improvement plans (QIP) related to special processes as required.
- Collaborate with site resources, product engineering, and the Product Action Committees (PAC) to drive product and manufacturing improvements that result in escape reductions and improved product reliability related to special processes.
- Perform risk analysis and drive mitigation actions including continuous improvement activities.
- Use project management tools to influence cross-functional departments and activities.
- Function as Special Process, QMS process and procedural mentor for sites.
Basic Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business or Technical discipline.
- 10+ years’ experience in a quality related function and an Aerospace production environment.
- Extensive knowledge of the AS9100 series of industry standards.
- Direct experience with all elements of Honeywell’s Quality Management Systems and certifications.
- 5 years minimum Lead Auditor experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Qualified auditor to industry requirements for AS9100 and two or more special processes.
- Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and mentor others.
- Considerable experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, and repair and overhaul environments.
- Six Sigma Lean, Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification.
- Demonstrated proficiency in project management.
- Successful application of RCCA and CAMP processes.
- Adept in soliciting facts and opinions from all team members, and creating a constructive, diverse, and open environment.
Compensation & Work Schedule
Full-Time hourly, full benefits position (30-39 hours a week). The anticipated hourly pay range for this role is $51-56 an hr. per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, and internal equity. This position is expected to work approximately 30-39 hours per week. Hours may vary based on business needs.
