Remote Software Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Define technical strategy and roadmap for AI Developer Experience, covering infrastructure, reliability, and workflow orchestration.
• Hire, scale, and establish team culture, operational processes, and execution cadence.
• Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and observability to support organization-wide adoption.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and drive adoption of AI-assisted workflows.
• Evaluate emerging AI tools and frameworks, making strategic build vs. buy decisions.
• Develop metrics to assess AI-generated code quality and impact.
• Mentor engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, speed, and high-quality delivery.

Qualifications & Skills

• 3+ years managing infrastructure or developer experience engineering teams, with experience scaling high-performance systems.
• Strong software engineering background with expertise in distributed systems and platform architecture.
• Fluency in AI/ML systems, LLM workflows, or agent architectures, with a builder mindset.
• Experience in hiring, onboarding, and developing engineering teams in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to set technical direction and make sound architectural decisions.

PREFERRED EXTRAS

• Experience building AI developer tooling or agent platforms.
• Knowledge of agent frameworks, workflow orchestration platforms, and developer experience tools.
• Background in evaluation frameworks for AI outputs.
