Remote Social Media Manager – Animal Welfare Storytelling

About the role

We are seeking a Social Media Manager and Video Content Creator to manage SAFI’s presence across Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. You will receive footage from us and are expected to shape it into engaging, short-form stories, helping to expand our audience and support our mission to assist animals.

Responsibilities

• Shape received footage into compelling short-form narratives
• Grow an audience that translates into real-world impact for animals
• Own the full content lifecycle: concept, edit, caption, post, and analyze
• Help define SAFI’s voice and build a storytelling engine that emotionally connects donors in the US, India, and beyond to the animals we serve

Requirements

• Mid-level (Industry Average), Senior experience
• Experience managing social media accounts on multiple platforms
• Ability to develop and execute video content strategies
• Strong storytelling skills
• Proficiency in video editing software
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Communications, Marketing, or related field
• 2+ years of relevant experience in social media management and/or video creation
• Experience working with international audiences

Skills

• Proficient in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)
• Strong understanding of social media analytics and metrics
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
