Remote Role: Business Analyst with FAIR plans

About the Role

We are seeking a Business Analyst with expertise in FAIR plans to support a direct client in the insurance sector. This is a remote position based in the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Model workflows and processes at multiple levels (L1/L2/L3).
• Define business rules, including rules engine concepts.
• Design role-based platforms and configurable workflow systems.
• Collaborate in Agile delivery models to ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements

Domain Expertise

• Strong experience in the insurance industry.
• Experience with FAIR plans and Grants Management programs (preferred).
• Understanding of policy lifecycle and eligibility validation.
• Knowledge of claims-like fulfillment processes, including inspection, approval, and payment.
• Familiarity with funding allocation and compliance controls.

Functional & Analytical Skills

• Proven expertise in requirements elicitation and documentation.
• Proficiency in workflow and process modeling.
• Experience defining business rules and designing configurable systems.

Tools & Methods

• Proficiency in JIRA or Azure DevOps for project tracking.
• Experience with Visio or Lucidchart for process diagramming.
• Familiarity with Confluence or similar documentation tools.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
