This role provides hands‑on experience with electrical distribution systems, sensor‑based electronics, and engineering development activities. The intern will work closely with R&D laboratories to prototype circuits, integrate sensors, gather technical data, and assist in the execution of engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist in executing technical programs involving electrical distribution, protection, and control for low to medium voltage systems.
- Design and build analog and digital circuits for sensor integration.
- Integrate sensors with microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino) for data acquisition and testing.
- Collect, organize, and analyze sensor data to support engineering development and system understanding.
- Develop basic signal‑conditioning systems such as filtering, amplification, and noise reduction.
- Prototype and test sensor‑based devices to ensure accuracy, reliability, and functionality.
- Build housings, fixtures, and component structures using CAD tools and rapid‑prototyping methods (e.g., 3D printing).
- Support RDT&E growth by collaborating with R&D laboratories on experiments, documentation, and iterative testing.
- Participate in requirement‑gathering discussions with technical leads and assist in proposing preliminary design concepts.
- Conduct basic research on market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor capabilities relevant to SGT programs.
- Assist with internal presentations, demonstrations, and technology reviews.
- Help prepare materials for industry events, technical conferences, and internal publications.
- Support brainstorming sessions related to innovative concepts and potential patentable ideas.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Programming skills in Python.
