Remote Processing Associate

About the role

The position involves processing transactions, maintaining accurate records, and performing various administrative tasks within a business environment. You will work within time, productivity, and quality constraints while supporting departmental operations.

Responsibilities

• Handle systems inquiries, data entry, and usage of terminal or personal computer.
• Maintain accurate records, including logging, coding, and verifying information.
• Audit records and computer files.
• Gather data and prepare reports.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages).
• Compose routine correspondence, including letters and memos.
• Use the telephone regularly to receive and relay information.
• Operate an adding machine or calculator.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and the public.
• Train less senior staff members in departmental procedures.
• Rotate within the area as needed to perform processing or cashiering functions and complete training.
• Investigate and resolve sometimes complex processing issues.
• Post transactions to appropriate accounts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness and ability to work extended or irregular hours, holidays, and/or weekends.
• Ability to perform monetary transactions (e.g., key entering data into cash terminal, adjusting account balances).
• Knowledge of basic insurance terminology.
• Ability to make discretionary decisions based on existing policy.
• Extensive use of telephone.
• Ability to read a map.

Work Environment

• Works in a temperature-controlled office environment.
• May require sitting for extended periods.
• May require stooping and bending for filing functions.

Pay

Hourly rate is $16.42. Overtime earning potential is available at time and a half the hourly wage.

Time Off & Leave

• Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrual-based, increases with tenure, eligible at 90 days of employment. Full-time new employees receive up to 12 PTO days annually; accrual based on start date. Part-time employees accrue PTO at a minimum of 3 hours per month.
• Paid Holidays: Full-time employees receive 10 company-paid holidays annually, plus 1 mental health day, 2 floating holidays, and 1 volunteer day. Part-time employees receive 8 company-paid holidays, plus 1 mental health day and 2 floating holidays.
