Remote Pharmacy Technician

Fully remote position; must reside in California.

Schedule

• 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM PST start time
• Available shifts: Sunday–Thursday, Monday–Friday, or Tuesday–Saturday
• Must be comfortable working any of the listed shifts

Responsibilities

• Evaluate prior authorization requests received via portal, fax, and mail using client clinical criteria
• Review medication requests and communicate coverage decisions
• Document outcomes of evaluations
• Research and resolve inquiries
• Escalate cases requiring extensive clinical review to a pharmacist
• For technicians assigned to the fax queue:
  • Review coverage determinations
  • Process faxed requests within SLA requirements
  • Monitor multiple work queues
  • Adapt to changing business needs

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Active California Pharmacy Technician license/registration (CPT/ExCPT/LPT/PTCB/RPT)
• Residence in California
• 1–2 years of pharmacy experience

Pay

Starting pay: $22.00/hr. Pay range for this position: $22.00 – $25.00/hr. Individual compensation depends on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, and internal equity.
